Programs
Programs are PTA sponsored events know as "Givebacks", that are free for every student to participate in, and benefit from. Students are always encouraged to become PTA members, but do not have to be a member to take advantage of these awesome opportunities.
GAA PTA strives to provide at least (3) Programs/Givebacks for every (1) Fundraiser.
STEM Fair and
Career day
We encourage students to participate in our Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics event, our annual STEM Fair. This event is for all students in Grades K to 6 and the Moderate/Severe Program! Last February, The STEM Fair included a STEM Activity Night for all to enjoy, along with getting to see all the amazing STEM projects on display. All projects that were submitted were judged by our professional panel of judges. The winners were recognized during the Award Ceremony on the evening of
FEBRUARY 20TH, 2025 AT 5:00 PM.

Reflections Art Showcase
All students attending GAA are invited to participate and submit original artwork in one of six areas:
-
Dance Choreography
-
Literature
-
Photography
-
Film Production
-
Music Composition
-
Visual Arts
Artworks are submitted first to school-level PTAs, where they are first recognized, celebrated and judged by five grade-level divisions, the Special Artists division celebrates student artists with special needs. School PTAs then choose a selection of entries to be judged by local PTA units, which are then sent on to councils and then districts for consideration. The final artworks submitted to California State PTA by districts are then considered for Outstanding Interpretation, Awards of Excellence or Awards of Merit. Outstanding Interpretation and Award of Excellence entries then go on to represent California in the final National PTA judging round.
Site Licensing
Site licensing programs provide broad access to software and digital resources that supplement the standard curriculum. These programs ensure that all students and educators can use the same high-quality tools, fostering a consistent and enhanced learning experience. Additionally, they support diverse and innovative teaching methods and enrich the overall educational environment.
Site licenses come with a substantial cost, and each year PTA strives to support these programs by raising the annual $10,000 it costs to supply them.

Assemblies and
Grade Level Field Trips
GAA PTA provides substantial funds to help supplement the costs of every Grade Level Fieldtrip. These trips include:
-
Zoo
-
Pumpkin Patch
-
On-site experiences
-
Indian Museum
-
Painted Turtle and more!

In addition, we also provide funding for on-site assemblies such as last year's favorite BMX show for Red Ribbon Week.
Hospitality
Every year, GAA PTA provides support for our teachers and staff as well as our members.
Hospitality gives back in many ways, including Teacher Appreciation Week, Association Meetings, Coffee with the Principals, a staff luncheon, and more.

Holiday Shop
Every year, GAA PTA puts on a weeklong Holiday Shop.
Students are given the opportunity to celebrate loved ones, friends, and even pets, by purchasing gifts.
Unlike most schools, our PTA runs this as a program (not a fundraiser) and does not profit from it.
We do this to keep costs low, giving every student the opportunity to participate.

Holiday Parade
Each year, our students are elated to see a parade of mythical holiday characters, bringing cheer and fun to the winter season.

Read Across America
Read Across America is an annual celebration of reading that schools all across the country participate in. It's a chance to inspire more students to become avid readers and host activities that bring your whole community closer together.
We celebrate by inviting special guest readers and volunteer family members to come on campus and read a book to a class. We also celebrate in conjunction with Dr. Seuss's birthday- usually with a fun themed dress-up day!

Student Store
A student favorite, kids are invited to come to the "Aviator Store" where they can spend "aviator wings". Wings are vouchers earned by students for things like good behavior, academic achievement, program participation, and even notable acts of kindness.

Dances and
Family Nights
Dances are a fun way socialize with friends, family and our GAA Community. For the past few years we have given back several family dances, at no cost to attendees. These included several Valentine's Day dances and this year we are excited to be hosting a Winter Ball for our GAA families!
